The best way to reach me is by email: hconn@dccnet.com or phone (604-886-6520). I live and work in Canada’s Pacific Northwest on British Columbia’s Sunshine Coast. My home is in Roberts Creek or xwésám (shíshálhen for ‘fat fish’) on the unceded, traditional swiya (homeland) of the shíshálh Nation. I express thanks and gratitude to the shíshálh people for sharing their ancestral land.

I am also grateful to work and live in Vancouver, BC, the unceded land of Coast Salish peoples. This includes the territories of the Musqueam, Skwxwú7mesh, and Tsleil-Waututh.

  1. Hi Heather,

I was Googling ‘love vancouver author’, narcisistically searching to see how my own sites were ranking, when I ran across your web site. I must say that your free-wheeling banner photo and enthusiastic service pitch caught my attention! If you’re on Twitter, my username is ejohnlove.

    All the best,

  2. I live in Kelowna and am setting up my coaching business. I have someone designing my website, I have finished a free ebook and written a couple of blogs. I am in the process of writing a book and want to have this finished by the middle of August. I would like someone to edit my work. I don’t think it will take much time to edit the work. I am a teacher. I would like to know when you would be available to edit my site, free ebook etc and how much you charge.

    Thanks,
    Pam

  3. I live by Vancouver and am an avid genealogist. My Father’s mother was a Conn and I am compiling a Family Tree, which you are welcome to view. I am wondering if we are related. My Conns came from Ontario, then Winnipeg, then B.C.
I look forward to hearing from you.

  4. Hi Heather, Just thought of you and typed out your name to see if you were on facebook and to my surprise I came along your blog. I am very much impress in the work you have done for this planet.

  5. Hello, Heather! I came across your post on editing people’s books while researching alumni of the University of British Columbia. One of the people you assisted was Dr. Sidney B. Effer. I was his UBC secretary through the 1980s while he was the Head of Maternal Fetal Medicine and would very much like to read his finished book “Babies, Blessings, and a Bountiful Life”. Do you know where I could locate a copy of it? I would be most grateful if you could find the time to respond. Thank you.

  6. Hi Christina,
Thanks for getting in touch. I will send you a private message and let you know how you can receive a copy.

  7. I just finished reading **The Human History of Wakami Lake** on the Chapleau library website.

This was rather personal for me as I grew up in Sultan from 1947 until 1963. I used to bring my father his lunch while he was working on the boardwalk at the Sultan sawmill in the mid 50’s.

    Tks for the memories.

  8. Hi Heather,
I am looking for a coach to help me with a piece of writing I undertook some time ago. Looking at your website, I thought that perhaps you might be right person. If you are available, I would like to talk to you about my project and send you some of the work I have done so far. I live in Vancouver so, if you happen to come to town, perhaps we could make a personal contact? It would make me very happy!
    Thank you
